Voluntary positions – Two hours (weekday mornings and/or afternoons)
Based at Brandon Day Centre or All Hallows Day Centre, Ditchingham
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team of volunteers at our day centres in Brandon and Ditchingham, where we support older people to enjoy therapeutic day care in a safe, secure environment and provide an opportunity for members to have fun and socialise with others whilst giving family carers a well-earned break.
About the role
As a volunteer driver, you will need to be over 25 and hold a clean driving licence (Cat D1) to drive our specially adapted minibuses. You will help our team of carers by driving day care members to and from the Day Centre from their homes, ensuring their safe entry and exit of the minibus. You will be accompanied by a member of the care team on all journeys.
If you would like to make a real difference to the older people using our Day Care service and can give up a few hours of your time, we would love to hear from you. All applications are subject to satisfactory references and DBS check.
